• January 6 is the Feast of the Three Wise Men. Of course, there is the old joke: If they had been Three Wise Women they would have stopped and asked for directions, gotten there on time, helped deliver the baby, cleaned up and put down fresh straw, brought practical gifts, and made a casserole!
Nollaig mBan
• In Ireland, the Epiphany is better known as Nollaig mBan - Little Christmas or "Women's Christmas". This is the day when women are cherished, can put their feet up (after twelve or more days of slaving away to keep everyone else happy) and enjoy. Ah and 'tis an almost forgotten tradition.
